Often windy weather makes me anxious, I just feel off. A few days ago was such a day. When I was wondering what to do to help myself, I recalled a recipe for a relaxing tea.
Here it is:
I received the recipe after ayurvedic consultation which showed my dosha Vata needed to be pacified. The recipe is pretty liberal – we use all the ingredients in the proportion that suits us best. Trial and error – that’s how we achieve perfectly tasting tea. The proportions shown below are the result of my experiments. The beverage is slightly viscous and spicy. At the beginning you can try it with more water than I use.
Ingredients:
Cloves – 5 pieces
Licorice root – 1 heaped teaspoon
Cinnamon – 1 tsp
Dried ground ginger – 1 tsp
Fennel fruit – ½ tsp (or thyme – 1 teaspoon, this is the variant developed by me :-))
Freshly boiled water – ½ liter
Add all herbs and spices to the water. Cook for a while on low heat. Straining, pour into your favorite cup, it is very important :-). And then sip, enjoying the sweet, spicy taste and feeling each sip warming and calming you down.
Tea is also great for cold, flu, and insomnia.
Naturally, if you haven’t dealt with any of these ingredients and you don’t know if they are advisable for you, study the information on the packaging of herbs, be careful.
